About YWCA of Poona
The Young Women Christian Association (YWCA) of India,
born hundred and sixty eight years ago, is part of an International Organization of the world YWCA.
The largest membership based organization in the world.
The YWCA unites and speaks for over 25 million women involved in YWCA work in over 91 countries around the world. In India, YWCA comprises 75 local associations around the country.
The Poona Branch of the YWCA was founded in 1878 in a rambling old bungalow located in Gurudwara Road. The present YWCA HOSTEL, also known as Poona working Women’s Hostel, is located in the same lush green location.

YWCA of POONA HOSTEL for
COLLEGE GIRLS & WORKING WOMEN
Known for the secure and affordable accommodations for college girls and working women, regardless of caste or creed, the Hostel provides home away from home with boarding and lodging facilities to fifty-six students and working women.
Many of these women come from remote places in Maharashtra and around the country.
Canteen Facility and two guest rooms for visitors in transit are also available on the premises.
